[Co-chair, SF Opera Bravo! Club Gala]
The gala season is approaching, and, with honored tradition as our guide, it will be kicked off by the pageantry of that much anticipated two-gala week in September, heralding the beginning of the symphony and opera seasons. Always at center stage, previous to the performances, is the parade of gorgeous gala gowns. Fanning the flames of fabulous fantasy each year, the
indulges in a little dreaming of its own.

Turning to the emerging talents of the fashion illustration students at the Academy of Art University (AAU), we ask that students dream up the perfect gown for each of the women chairing the lavish fundraising events accompanying this most festive week. This year, one such talent, fashion design and illustration student Jennifer Dickert, was chosen by the AAU’s School of Fashion Executive Director Gladys Perint Palmer. Presented here are Jennifer’s exquisite designs.
