Letter To Our Readers
Isn’t it interesting that at this time in our history, magazines are actually still here on paper? I think it’s because some advertisers know that an adult who is holding and reading our publication is more likely to purchase what appeals to them than a kid who is searching the Web for “whatever.”
Yet . . . surely there is a place for both—and since we want it all, we now also have all of our content on our new Website, nobhillgazette.com. Not only is our magazine’s content there (except my letter), but look for special Web-exclusive features and lots of Web-only coverage of parties.
We’ll always focus on glamour and fantasy, and have plenty of good features along with our coverage of all things most fashionable. Indulge yourself this month in a little dreaming; recent Academy of Art University graduate Jennifer Dickert, presents her elegantly striking illustrations of the gowns she’d design for each of the female chairs and co-chairs of the upcoming opera and symphony gala events. Giving a nod to the men, Dino-Ray Ramos gives black-tie fashion tips. And Jennifer Raiser presents her ever insightful and always delightful bi-annual fashion trend report. Also find wisdom about wine, with a focus on the sumptuous yet lesser-known Paso Robles area. With a click of the mouse, you can get to our Web exclusives, including Steven Oliver’s “Taste” column focusing on the gourmet food trucks parking in the city, as well as new delicious doors that have opened.
In summary, I predict that desk chairs will not surpass deck chairs. N’est-ce pas?
Lois
