SF Symphony Opening Night Gala
World renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang shared the stage with SF Symphony's music director Michael Tilson Thomas during the Symphony's 98th season Opening Night concert at Davies Symphony Hall. Gala-goers watched breathlessly as Lang Lang gave an outstanding musical performance. Prior to the concert, patrons enjoyed a reception followed by the benefactor, Symphony Supper, and Symphonix dinners. All three dinners were catered by McCall Associates. Decor for the patrons tent was provided by Robert Fountain, and Blueprint Studios transformed City Hall into a hip hangout for Supper and Symphonix goers. Proceeds from the gala benefited the orchestra's education and community programs. For more Symphony coverage, see Gala 'Bout Town in our features section.![]() |
