Gary Brewer’s paintings, on show through April 12 at ArtZone 461Gallery, are sensual invitations to pause and contemplate and enjoy the seductive beauty of nature. His renditions of orchids and anemones, coral, lichen, and mosses speak of the most recent biological discoveries, and proffer a visual vocabulary that describes the supra-natural world. Gary Brewer is collected and has shown nationwide since his first solo exhibition in 1989. He is a self-taught painter, represented in Los Angeles at L2kontemporary Gallery where he had a solo show in 2007.
