Asian Art Museum’s Shanghai Gala, February 10
The Asian Art Museum is delighted to present “Shanghai.” This major exhibition, on show February 12 through September 5, 2010, examines the visual culture of one of China’s most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities. The exhibition will explore the most significant visual documents of the city’s rich and ever-changing culture, including paintings, Shanghai Deco furniture, posters, fashion, movie clips, and contemporary installations.

ng-standing relationship with Shanghai. The Celebration includes exhibitions, performances, film series, lectures, and special events presented by dozens of Bay Area organizations. To kick off the “Shanghai” exhibition, gala chairman Gorretti Lo Lui and honorary chairs Joan Chen, Loletta Lo, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Amy Tan, and Yuan Yuan Tan, have created an incredible Opening Night Gala on February 10, 2010. The Gala is sold out.
