Well, we made it—it’s Spring, one of my favorite seasons (along with Fall—just love it—and Winter and Summer, too, come to think of it).
Tax season is over, and we’re all still alive. So, how’s business? This issue helps to shine a spotlight on several facets.
Real estate: Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like the real estate scene in the Bay Area. Read all about what the top area insiders said about the state of the market in our annual Real Estate Roundtable.
Museums: Happy birthday to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Seventy-five years young and still growing—a lot. And, how about the fabulous Impressionism (and beyond) exhibitions—featuring work from the Musée d’Orsay—beginning this month with “The Birth of Impressionism,” at the de Young and Legion of Honor? What a coup!
Philanthropy: The business of giving is looking better than ever, as social columnist Jennifer Raiser tells us in her monthly column, “Gala ’Bout Town.” Additionally, we’ve been noticing sold-out crowds at many of the fundraisers about our town. Bravo!
We’ve also got your regular favorites, including the always enlightening Georgia Hesse with her story about the Haas Lilienthal House.
Enjoy the many pictures of you all looking fabulous, and be sure to check out nobhillgazette.com for even more pictures. (Did you know you can send your pictures to all your relatives and friends with just a click from our Digital Issue site? Try it. It’s easy, and fun!)
I do hope the merry month of May in our Camelot by the Bay will treat you splendidly!
Lois
