Cheer loudly for our January list of notables—(noted, of course, for the number of times they were mentioned in the Nob Hill Gazette in 2011). You’re not on the “A” list? Suggestion: go out more, flutter around the photographers—and look terrific.
By the way, the list continues on our website and includes those lucky folks who were mentioned at least once during the past year. If you think we erred in our tally, please send us a note so we can do better next year.
At this point, we’ve given “joy” to all our loved ones; gifts, money, best wishes. Now what? Let’s face it, 2012 will be a challenge. Remaining helpful, philanthropic, and upbeat might take a little more effort, but we will pull it off, as always.
With that in mind, we hope our January issue will start your year with some fun, amusement, and maybe even a little intellectual stimulation. Check our new “The Good Book” section featuring new books by local authors, and keep an eye out for our NHG-style crossword puzzle, which will debut next month.
As our minds aren’t our only concern, we also have several pages of fitness tips throughout this issue—and some light-hearted “Dragon year” financial advice, so you won’t lose your pocketbook in the months ahead.
And so, I lift my chapeau to all of our readers, both in print and online, and say, “Hail, hardy, and happy New Year!” We also wish our crème de la crème advertisers the best that 2012 has to offer. Together, we will rally and make the future bright.
Lois
