SF Ballet's Opening Night Gala
Not even the rain could dampen the level of excitement felt by patrons headed to SF Ballet's 79th annual Opening Night Gala, Bella Notte, at the War Memorial Opera house. Designer J. Riccardo Benavides of Ideas created a bold Italian Renaissance backdrop for this year's Benefactors and Patrons Dinner held inside City Hall, prior to the performance. Guests admired a 22-foot tall reproduction of Michelangelo's "David" while they dined on dinner prepared by McCall Associates. Following dinner, guests paraded to the the Opera House to view a range of both modern and classic vignettes of the upcoming season. The night concluded after a fun-filled post-party at City Hall.
