SFMOMA's Modern Ball
Inside the patrons’ tent at SF Museum of Modern Art’s (SFMOMA) sold-out Modern Ball, designer Stanlee Gatti created a Picasso-inspired ambiance complete with ultra violet blue lights that lit table tops and shined down from above. The evening featured two spectacular seated dinners, a Gala Dinner and Supper Club both catered by McCall Associates. Museum director Neal Benezera spoke about the Museum’s expansion approval and flourishing capital campaign. Love for SFMOMA was clearly evident by the lively auction that was held. A private dinner with chef Thomas Keller sold for $170,000. Following dinner, guests joined Post–Modern Party ticket holders as they danced to music spun by chef (and dynamic DJ) Hubert Keller. The evening raised $2.8 million for the SFMOMA’s youth arts education programs.
