Author’s Luncheon
Over 950 patrons attended the National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) 24th annual Authors Luncheon on November 10 at the Marriott Marquis. The event broke all previous revenue records by raising over $380,000. Authors included: Capt. "Sully" Sullenberger who spoke of American heroism, novelist and emergency physician Dr. Vincent Lam, children's author and illustrator Tom Lichtenheld, chef Hubert Keller, novelist Emma Donoghue, and actor, director, and travel writer Andrew McCarthy. The previous evening NKF held a VIP dinner that brought together 115 patrons and donors at the City Club of SF.
