Reverend David F. Pace is this year’s chair of the National Arthritis Foundation Gala to be held at the City Club on June 10. The event will honor and award the foundation’s fellows and interns at Stanford University Medical Center and UCSF. Guest of honor and speaker will be Ephraim Engleman, M.D., who is a world-renowned rheumatologist and practicing physician at UCSF. He was recently featured in two articles (in the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury News) for his accomplishments and continued practice at UCSF at the rare age of 103.
The gala will offer a festive way to help support the foundation’s mission to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis for more than 50 million Americans, including 300,000 children, who are living with the disease.
This year’s honorary co-chairs include: The Honorable Mauro Battocchi, Consul General of the Republic of Italy, Heide Van Doren Betz, Sallie Hunting, The Very Reverend Dr. Jane Shaw, dean of Grace Cathedral, San Francisco.
